Made from locally-sourced hand turned barley on the edge of Dartmoor National Park, this whisky has been aged in a single Ex-Bourbon cask before being cut with pure Dartmoor spring water.
This barrel is imported from a Bourbon distillery in America. The law in America dictates that American white oak barrels can only be used once for the production of Bourbon, resulting in a glut of Ex-Bourbon barrels. Some of the barrels used are from well known Bourbon whiskey brands in Kentucky and still hold the
wonderfully sweet vanilla flavours from their past life holding Bourbon whiskey.
